River Secrets by Shannon Hale

River Secrets is the third book in the Goose Girl series, and in my opinion the least

                                                     interesting. Shannon Hale is an excellent writer, and I loved the Goose Girl, but this book just

                                                     didn't quite do it for me. Some parts were interesting, but none got my heart pounding like

                                                      Hale's previous books, and I thought that one of the characters' water-speaking abilities were

                                                     just because the author wanted it to seem more fantasy-ish, but I didn't buy it. If you loved the

                                                     Goose Girl like me, I would read this book just to conclude the series. Keep in mind that it does

                                                      have good parts, but it's not the best.
